Mining
Mining
Throughout the state of Monroe there are various mines that players can enter and attempt to gather a variety of materials that can be used for crafting or sold for profit.
Requirements
In order to begin mining you first require the correct tools to do so.
A Pickaxe is required to begin mining. These can be crafted or purchased from a variety of stores around The State of Monroe.
Mines are located all around the state of Monroe and different mines have different resources to gather. Ask around to try and discover the locations of mines in the state.
Once you discover a mine with Pickaxe in hand you’re ready to begin mining.
Functionality
Once inside a mine, open your inventory and Right click on your Pickaxe. Click the “Start mining prompt” and this will ready your Pickaxe to begin mining.
At the bottom right of your screen a prompt with the word “Mine” will appear. This will be grayed out until you approach a minable surface. Once you’re in place and the prompt is highlighted you can hit the G key to begin mining.
As your character begins to mine a small progress wheel will appear in the center of your screen. Once the wheel reaches 100% you will have successfully mined something.
The items you retrieved will appear in the process menu at the bottom right of your screen and will be added to your character's satchel.
Tips While Mining
- Ores and other materials are incredibly heavy, ensure you have sufficient space in your satchel to carry your reward.
- Bringing a horse with saddlebags or wagon is a smart idea to ensure you maximise your trip.
- Mining alone is hard work, ask around and find some friends to go on your trip to spread the load.
- The mines of Monroe are incredibly noisy and dangerous, but cave ins and rockfall aren’t the only dangers while mining. Watch out for robbers who might want to steal your workload, yet again another reason to travel with friends.
