Victoria Halen
Victoria Halen is a former recluse returning to society.
History
Early Life
Born to Micheal and Marjerie Halen somewhere near Armadillo, Victoria was the only daughter of the Halen family. With three older brothers and a pair of sturdy parents, Victoria grew up on her family's hog farm. Her mother was a well-educated woman from Europe, and her father was a born American. Her upbringing was pleasant; her mother taught her reading and writing, while her father taught her more practical skills such as hunting and slaughtering. As a girl raised in a family mostly of men, she was raised like them- she learned to roughhouse and how to solve her problems with her fists, and her words.
When Victoria was three, Marjerie fell pregnant with a new baby- a boy they named Georgie. Unfortunately, this child was stillborn.
When she hit fifteen, Victoria, who was frequently called "Vic" at that point by her father and brothers, took on more duties around the farm. She was often the one to handle many of her father's tasks as he grew weaker from an undiagnosed illness and likely old age. He passed on only a few years later, buried near the family's farm with his father, Joseph Halen, and his mother, Anne Halen. Not long after his passing, Victoria left the farm, vanishing into the wilderness for many years before her recent reappearance.
Later Years
With her recent return to society, Victoria has found herself mostly remaining in Valentine, hesitant to go further from the forests.
Character
Personality
Victoria has a quiet nature about her. She's not much on words with strangers, but happily talks with those she has grown familiar with, eager to make actual, human connections with people. Victoria can seem rather intimidating, though, due to her constant squint and seemingly constant frown.
Appearance
A tall, stocky woman with a masculine frame. She has sharp, grey-blue eyes, and long, braided black hair that has begun to grey prematurely. She has a scar on one side of her face.
