Gold Panning
Gold Panning is a traditional form of placer mining that involves using a pan to extract gold from deposits within rivers and streams. These are located all over the State of Monroe, you'll just have to find one and try it out for yourself. But be sure to grab yourself a gold pan first!
Functionality
- Once you've acquired yourself a gold pan and found a prosperous location simply open your inventory by pressing [B] and right-click your gold pan. A use option will appear.
- Now that you've equipped your gold pan step into the river/stream you've found and begin to pan by pressing [Spacebar]. This will then begin the prospecting process.
- Your character will now have a chance at being able to source gold nuggets if he's lucky enough that is.
- To stop gold panning, simply hold [Backspace].
What are Gold Nuggets & What are they used for?
Gold Nuggets are fragments weathered out of their original metalliferous ore that gets trapped within river banks and stream beds. Collecting a certain amount of golden nuggets will allow you to smelt them into Gold Ingots, or you could just sell them as they are. Try Interacting with players you meet in-game to gather more knowledge of this profession. This will allow your character development to fluctuate into a successful prospector.

Important note:
- The use of Third-Party Modifications (Including Macros) on the server will almost always result in a permanent ban depending on the severity. Gold Panning is always being monitored no excuses.
- Example of misuse: Watching tv while spamming the spacebar is not roleplay. Do not be surprised if you receive a ban for this.
